What Is Dynmap?

First of all let me explain what dynmap is and does. Its is a google earth style of viewing your server live. It also shows your players locations, names and status as well as other markers and land claims depending on the integrations your using. The dynmap plugins works well with many other well known plugins.

You can install the plugin, and after some simple setup have a webpage connected to your server that you can share to view the live map. It not only shows you a birds eye view version if 2D but also a 3D version, a cave version and optionally your nether and end worlds.

How To Download & Install Dynmap

1. Visit the download page for the dynmap plugins and download dynmap.
2. Upload the plugin to your plugin folder using your plugin installer or FileZilla & your FTP file access
3. Start your server, once started then stop it again and go to the FTP file access to view server files.
4. Open your plugin folder and open the dynmap folder.
5. Click “edit” on the configuration.txt file.
6. Change the resolution in the deftemplatesuffix to vlower or loweres.
7. Change the number for the webserver-port to any number over 1024.
8. Change the image-format to jpg.
9. Save and start the server back up.
10. Go to your server console area and type:
    dynmap fullrender >worldname<
    The name has to match what your world file is saved as.
11. Once fully rendered, to visit the map look up in the console data and it will display your servers IP, followed by a colon and then the port your created. Paste this into a web browser to view your page.
    This will looking something like this example: 23.123.12:1354

Lets take a look at how to upload addons to your Bedrock server using this easy world uploading method. We also go through how to add addons to a pre existing server world and upload it with addons.

Where Can I Get Free Addons?

There are a few places to get free addons, these will usually come as a .zip .mcworld .mcaddon or .mcpack type.

You can change the types by renaming the file and changing the end type of the file (make sure file extensions is visible from your file explorer list to see these) click on view and then File name extensions.

How To Upload Addons To a Server From a Single Player Map

So for this guide we will be uploading our add-ons to a single player world that we will upload to a server. This tutorial is if your going to upload a world to your server. If you already have a world on a server that you want to add addons too, skip to the next guide further below, complete that first then return to this section.

Step 1. Download your addons and change them into a .mcaddon format (or .mcpack depending on the addon). To do this right click on the .zip folder and rename the end extension to .mcaddon, replacing the .zip part of the file. Then double click the addon.

Step 2. The addon will now upload to your Minecraft launcher and your can now find the world you want to use and edit it by clicking the pencil next to the world name.

Step 3. Now scroll to the bottom on the left of the screen and activate the addon for the world by clicking finding your addon and activating it )check both behaviour and resource pack depending on the addon) then press play on the world to load them.

Step 4. Once loaded you can quit out of the world and export the world file by going to the edit pencil to the right of the world name and scroll down to the bottom and click on export world. Then choose a folder to export it too.

Step 5. Its time to export the files from the world you download to suit the server. To do this right click on the world file you downloaded and use 7 zip (or any other extraction method) and choose extract files. You will then have a folder with the files we need to upload to your server.

then press ok on the next window.

You will end up with a folder with your world and addons files all in one such as the picture below.

Step 6. Now its time to upload our world with the addons to our server. First stop your server and for this I recommend using FileZilla to upload your files. But any ftp file access method will work. So connect to your server to start moving files.

Step 7. This is the confusing part as the files are all in one folder but for your server they need to be separated. To make this easier to understand ill label all folder/files that go to your world folder on your server in orange. And all the files that get uploaded to the main server directory as green.

So first lets move the files highlighted in orange to the world file of your server. To do this click on worlds folder and then open the world folder within it on your server. This will have files such as db leveldata ect.

Then move the files and folders highlighted in orange to the world folder on your server, choose to overwrite the server files with the new ones. Basically move every file over apart from the behaviour-packs and recourse-packs.

• world_behaviour_pack.history
• world_behaviour_packs.json
• World_icon.jpeg
• world_resource_pack.history
• world_recourse_pack.json

Step 7. Now lets move the 2 folder we have left to the main server directory (the main area where all your server files are)

• behaviour-packs
• recourse-packs

You can now start your server and any one that joins it will be asked to download the addon automatically, and it will now work on your bedrock server for anyone to use.

That’s it, now if your looking to use a world that is already existing on a server we need to download it, add the addons and re upload it following the steps below.

How To Upload Addons To Current Server World

Now fi you have a world on a server already that you want to add addons too. This is the easiest way i found to do it which is downloading your world, uploading the addons on single player and then re uploading your world to your server.

Step 1. Stop your Bedrock server.

Step 2. Download your world files that usually only consists or these following files/folders

• db
• level.dat
• level.dat_old
• levelname.txt

Step 3. Now from your pc highlight all the files you downloaded, right click and use 7 zip to add to archive. This will make your files go into a .zip folder, then press ok on the next screen.

Step 4. With your .zip world folder your can now right click it and choose rename, change the .zip extension to read .mcworld press enter and yes on the next pop up screen.

Step 5. You can now double click the file and it will load up the world in your single player minecraft and you can follow the steps above to complete adding the addon and uploading the world and addon back to your server.

Go to next step to upload addon and world to my server.

So now you can have your favourite bedrock addons uploaded to your server for you and your friends to enjoy! With addons you get so many more features such as guns, currency, anti explosions, signs and much much more.

About The WeaponMechanics Gun Plugin

This is a great new gun plugin for Minecraft that doesn’t require a modded server. Simply install2 plugins and stat using weapons on your server with others.

It works for version 1.9 till 1.19 and is currently in beta as of this article but is looking to be one of the best out there. You will find great playability with this gun plugin with some surprise weapons too.

One great thing I did discover is how good the Grief Prevention plugin is at protecting properties. Even once blown up with the cluster bomb it miraculously starting repairing the ground where it sat. Low and below in front of me the entire structure was re assembled and back to its previous form! We also suggest adding an anti cheat to any server you have public.

Downloading The WeaponMechanics Plugin

This plugin can be found in multicraft and on the spigot website also. How ever it actually requires two plugins which sometimes isn’t clear on the main page.

Both downloads are found on their GitHub release section. Once on the page download both:

• MechanicsCore-1.3.3-BETA.jar
• WeaponMechanics-1.8.3-BETA.jar

You need both the WeaponMechanics and the MechanicsCore plugin to make the gun plugin work on your 1.19 server.

Also please be aware that is only works for spigot and paper servers. Get a Server with SeekaHost if your looking for a good value server to upload the plugins too.

Installing The Gun Plugin To Your 1.19 Server

First make sure your server is running a 1.19 paper or spigot server so the plugins are compatible. Then stop your server ready to install the gun plugin.

Install Using Multicraft FTP File Access.

Step 1. Click on FTP File Access through files. Then login using your Multicraft password.

Step 2. Select the Plugin option.

Step 3. Click on upload on the left hand side.

Step 4. Click on Choose File and then select the WeaponMechanics-1.8.3-BETA.jar plugin, then repeat the process and choose the MechanicsCore-1.3.3-BETA.jar plugin. Then press submit. If this doesn’t work with both then try one by one.

Final Step. Now go back and start your server and the gun plugin “WeaponMechanics” is now installed on your 1.19 Minecraft server.

Install The Gun Plugin Using FileZilla

Step 1. Connect to your server with FileZilla.

Step 2. Open the plugin section on the right side of the dashboard (the server side)

Step 3. Drag the plugins over from your downloads folder on the left hand side to your server on the right hand side.

Final Step. Start the server and the plugins will now be active.

With 1.19 out now its time to start protecting our servers with a great anti cheat plugin for Minecraft servers.

How Do Anti Cheat Plugins Work?

Plugins in general will add more functions to your server, unlike mods which can also change the look of blocks and other items, as well as provide other functions.

It is much easier how ever to use plugins on 1.19 Minecraft servers as the other players don’t need to install it and go through the lengthy process of installing forge and matching mods to the server they want to play on. Or being the one that has to set up the modded server and add the mods that will be compatible.

Anti cheat plugins work by checking the players on the servers against well known cheats. Some of these cheats are flying, clipping, wall phasing, x-ray and other hacks players use to try to ruin it for others that want to play fairly.

How To Install The Grim 1.19 Anti Cheat Plugin To Your Server

The plugin we will be using is called Grim Anti Cheat, its new and open source with lots of great reviews. Once tested we saw that it found any player trying to cheat very well with out too many false positives. It also didnt cause the server any extra lag and was a plug and play type of anti cheat plugin.

Before You Start

So first of all make sure to get your Minecraft server ready, once ready then install a 1.19 version. I suggest installing paper version as its the most optimized and works with both bukkit and spigot plugins.

Then when your ready, stop the server before installing any plugins. I will be showing both methods of installing the anti cheat plugin. Both through multicraft itself and also manually with FTP file access.

Install Grim Anti Cheat On Multicraft

Step 1. Make sure you are running a 1.19 version that is either Spigot or Paper.

Step 2. Now click on Files, then Plugins.

Step 3. Make sure Spigot is selected and then search for Grim, the anti cheat will show first on the list. Now select this plugin from the list.

Step 4. Click on Install on the bottom right to install the anti cheat to your 1.19 server.

Final Step. Now start your server back up and the anti cheat will now be active on your server.

Upload Grim Anti Cheat To Your 1.19 Minecraft Server

For this guide we will download the plugin from the source website and upload it using FTP access. This can also be done with FileZilla once connected to your server.

Get started by downloading Grim Anti Cheat from this page.

Step 1. From your server dashboard find the FTP File Access by clicking on Files.

Step 2. Login using your multicraft information or other FTP information depending on the host you are using.

Step 3. Now select the plugins folder within you server files.

Step 4. Now select upload to find and choose the file to upload to your server.

Step 5. Select Choose File and select the plugin from your downloads folder or anywhere you saved the Grim Anti Cheat plugin. Once done selected press Submit.

Final Step. Now just start your server back up and the anti cheat will now be active and monitoring players in the server.

Installing a good anti cheat for your 1.19 Minecraft server is essential if you plan on inviting other players on. This way you can be notified as the op or admin of bad players and have your server much better protected whilst you are not there.
